The first time this ever happened to me I was totally freaked out. I was also in a state-owned vehicle trying to find the highest point in Nebraska. City girl through and through, I suppose. But I found the highest point after I mowed through those moo-cows.
Matt bought the house on Archer Avenue in the winter of his thirty-fifth year. Over the next decade, he and his wife had three children and then they separated. They were never legally divorced.
Virtually all memory of the brilliance of Matt had been erased by two decades of betrayal, failure and disaster.
Matt died tragically rescuing his family from the wreckage of a destroyed sinking battleship.
