although i do enjoy winter and the brisk air, i'm starting to tire of all the snow. i toured a new baseball park last weekend, full of snow.

it got me thinking of summer. and rooftop barbecues. and water drops on cold beer bottles. and girls in their summer clothes.

i won big once and i hit the coast

did some traveling last month, then i checked out for a while. we had manweekend up in hartford. did some fishing. did some tailgating. watched football (north american and english). shot a bow. drank some beer. roasted marshmallows.
beer and marshmallows. mmmm.

new brother-in-law's throwing a football, he tosses me a pass.

and it begins today.
well, actually huskers football coverage started a few weeks ago. but we leave for the first game in about 20 minutes. it's the last year for the big 12, and i'm not terribly disappointed, but i did like going south in the late fall. as part of the "looking back," we featured johnny rodgers, a heisman trophy winner who was voted the big 8's best player. he was generous and friendly.

i know we are the chosen few, but we're wasted.

i'm not sure if this place went out of business or if they are going to open up. regardless, it's only a matter of time before another restaurant opens in this revolving spot on o street in lincoln.

a portion or minneapolis lost power for about 6-7 hours over the weekend. it was hot. and humid. and dark.
luckily, we had cards.
