a friend and mentor, jeff haller, spent a good chunk of last year in red cloud, neb., documenting his hometown. i probably spend as much time as anyone driving around this state trying to capture life in the rural midwest. he showed me how to do it well.
so, grab a cup of coffee, beer or whatever you like to drink. get comfortable. and watch this.
and then do jeff a favor a buy a print or two from him.

Stumbled upon your blog while looking for some Nebraska photos and stayed and looked at every photo you have on here. Your work is amazing. As a native Nebraskan and life long Nebraskan (well minus 4 years in Wisconsin, but hey, that shouldn't count against me!) you really capture the feel of life here in Huskerland. As for all the photos from places near and far from here, they are simply wonderful.
I'll look forward to seeing your work in the World Herald now that I know of you!
